Females in Finance Autumn 2024

📣We welcomed Issy Galliers-Pratt as our speaker at the Autumn 2024 event! Issy shared insights from her work with a mentoring program dedicated to empowering young women in their professional journeys, particularly pursuing a career in the finance sector.

Having begun volunteering for in this mentoring charity in 2020, she has guided numerous young women in navigating the start of their careers. In addition to her impactful mentoring work, Issy is an Investment Director at Rathbones and a mother of three.

​📖For this event's book club, we looked at Ultra-Processed People by Chris van Tulleken. The book explores how these modern, industrially manufactured foods have become a staple of our daily eating habits, and he argues that they pose serious risks to both our health and the environment. By breaking down how it disrupts our body’s natural responses to food and contributes to issues like obesity and environmental damage, he advocates for greater awareness and regulation to address the growing reliance on UPF in today’s food system.
